Best Hotels in Todos Santos, Mexico (2026): 10 Ranked

Hacienda Todos Los Santos has the highest weighted guest score of any hotel we ranked in Todos Santos, 9.5/10 across 294 reviews, which makes it #1 by our weighted score. It sits in gardens at the edge of the historic centre, a short walk from the restaurants, from $279 a night for two. On the beach at Punta Lobos, Hotel San Cristóbal scores 9.5 across 150 reviews, from $446. For a boutique hotel in town, Todos Santos Boutique Hotel has a perfect 10 across 42 reviews, from $390, and Guaycura adds a rooftop pool and its own beach club, from $206.

We ranked the ten by guest score weighted for review volume (the formula is at the end of this guide), using the same formula as our La Paz hotels guide, and priced every one live for the same stay, two adults for three nights, on five check-in dates from October 2026 to February 2027. The ranking measures guest satisfaction only; location and price are covered separately. Because Todos Santos inventory is thin, the review and availability thresholds are lower than on our other hotel guides, and we explain why in the method section.

Todos Santos is a small town set back from the Pacific, and its hotels are spread across a stretch of coast about 20 km long. Where you stay decides whether you walk to dinner or drive to it.

The historic centre

Hacienda Todos Los Santos, Baja House, Guaycura and Todos Santos Boutique Hotel are all within about 600 m of the plaza and the mission church, with the galleries and restaurants on foot. Casa Bugambilias is about 1 km out, a 15-minute walk according to one guest. The beach is not on the doorstep: Guaycura runs its own beach club for guests. The trade-off in town is noise, from the main road at Guaycura and from roosters and dogs at Baja House.

On the Pacific near town

Hotel San Cristóbal is on the beach at Punta Lobos, about 3.4 km south of the plaza, and Villa Santa Cruz is on the beach at Las Playitas, about 7 km north. Guests at both describe watching whales from the property in winter. Paradero is inland at La Mesa, about 7 km from the plaza, in the desert rather than on the sand. A Hotel San Cristóbal guest recommended renting a car and a Paradero guest was glad to have one; a Villa Santa Cruz guest put town 10 to 15 minutes away.

Cerritos, El Pescadero

Cerritos Surf Town Hotel & Spa (and its sister property next door) and Casitas El Salitral are about 14 to 16 km south of the plaza, in El Pescadero. Cerritos Surf Town is on Playa Los Cerritos, and guests describe walking to the surf, the board rentals and the cafés. Casitas El Salitral is by the highway, not on the beach, and guests describe a short drive to Cerritos.

Hacienda Todos Los Santos

Rated 9.5/10 across 294 guest reviews, Hacienda Todos Los Santos is #1 by our weighted score, with 9.97 for location and 9.93 for service. It is a group of casitas and suites in palm and mango gardens at the end of Avenida Benito Juárez, and guests describe it as quiet and tucked away while less than five minutes' walk from cafés and restaurants. Guests praise the large rooms, the pool and the free, secure parking. It sold room-only rates on three of our five dates, from $279 to $311 per night for two. Food is its lowest score at 8.46, and guests mention limited food options, a reception that is not always staffed, a room one guest found bare, and early vehicle noise on the lane behind one unit. If you want to walk to everything and sleep somewhere quiet, this is our pick.

Hotel San Cristóbal

Hotel San Cristóbal is a beachfront hotel at Punta Lobos, about 3.4 km south of town, rated 9.5/10 across 150 guest reviews. Our reservation system lists it twice: that score comes from one listing, and the rates from the other, which has 61 reviews of its own and category scores between 8.65 and 10. Guests praise the service, the food at its restaurants, the pool and the quiet beach, and several describe whales close to shore in winter. It is expensive and varies widely by date, from $446 per night for two in October to $1,193 in January, room only. Guests mention a property that is chilly in winter with no heating in the rooms, no TV, and one reported a bathroom that was not clean. One of its two listings is labelled adults 15+, so check the age policy when you book. If you want a beach hotel near town and can pay for it, book this, with a rental car.

Villa Santa Cruz

Rated 9.8/10 across 77 guest reviews, Villa Santa Cruz is a small beachfront hotel at Las Playitas, about 7 km north of town, and the most expensive on this page, from $1,333 to $2,023 per night for two with breakfast. It scores 9.96 for cleanliness and 10 for location. Guests praise the owners and staff, the gardens, the pools and breakfast in the garden, and describe whale and bird watching from the property; it also has glamping tents on the beach, at extra cost. Guests mention that some rooms have no ocean view and that the bar closes early. Most of its reviews in our system are from 2021 to 2023, and only 11 are from 2024 or later. If the budget allows and you want seclusion on the beach, book this.

Guaycura Boutique Hotel, Beach Club & Spa

Rated 9.2/10 across 198 guest reviews, Guaycura is in a historic building in the centre of town, about 500 m from the plaza, with a rooftop terrace, pool and bar over the town and its own beach club for guests. Service and food both score 10. From $206 to $303 per night for two, room only, priced on all five dates. Cleanliness and value are its weakest scores, both 8.15. Guests mention road noise from the main street, no air conditioning in the lobby and hallways, street parking only, and in March 2026 one guest left early because of construction noise. If you want the town and the beach in one booking, book this.

Todos Santos Boutique Hotel

Rated 10/10 across 42 guest reviews, Todos Santos Boutique Hotel on Calle Legaspi has a perfect score in every category in our system, the only hotel on this page with one. It is adults only, with a pool and bar, about 600 m from the plaza. Guests praise the architecture and design, the staff and the food, and one enjoyed a jazz evening at the hotel. Room-only rates run from $390 in October to $717 to $774 from November to February; rates with breakfast cost more than double on every date we checked. Guests mention slow breakfast service, with one waiting 45 minutes, a pool advertised as heated that one found cold, and no breakfast or coffee included at the price. It has fewer reviews than any other hotel here, which is why it ranks fifth despite the perfect score. If design matters most and you are travelling without children, book this.

Paradero Todos Santos

Rated 9.0/10 across 71 guest reviews, Paradero is an adults-only design hotel in the desert at La Mesa, about 7 km inland, with an infinity pool and activities included, such as guided hikes, yoga and a cooking class. Guests praise the architecture, the food (9.5) and the staff. It is expensive, from $690 to $987 per night for two, room only, and it also sells all-inclusive rates from $3,004. Guests describe the restaurant as pricey, rooms without a fridge or kettle, and one in November 2025 found construction nearby. It is out of town, and a guest was glad to have a car. If you want a design-led retreat with activities built in, book this.

Casitas El Salitral

Rated 8.9/10 across 135 guest reviews, Casitas El Salitral is a group of brightly painted casitas by the highway at Km 69 in El Pescadero, about 16 km south of town, and the cheapest hotel on this page at $87 to $107 per night for two with breakfast. It priced on three of our five dates. Guests like the casitas, the pool, the shared kitchen and the fire pits, and describe a short drive to Cerritos beach. The complaints are specific: no hot water in the morning, several guests said, cold nights, highway noise, dogs barking at night and no beach access. Its category scores in our system, between 4.3 and 5.8, are much lower than its overall score, and its 60 most recent reviews average 8.4, so we would treat the 8.9 with caution. If you want the lowest price near Cerritos and are driving, book this.

Cerritos Surf Town Beach Front Hotel & Spa

Rated 8.8/10 across 116 guest reviews, this is a beachfront hotel on Playa Los Cerritos in El Pescadero, about 14 km south of town, with a pool, hot tubs and a restaurant on the beach. Guests praise the location, the pool and the food (9.19). It priced on three of our five dates, from $180 to $183 per night for two in November and December, but $403 in October. Cleanliness is its weakest score at 8.19, and guests mention one room without a private bathroom, a room next to the kitchen and restaurant music, and an unfriendly front desk clerk. If you want to walk out to the surf, book this.

Casa Bugambilias

Rated 8.8/10 across 42 guest reviews, Casa Bugambilias is a small hotel about 1 km from the plaza, and the cheapest in town, from $132 to $138 per night for two, room only, and almost unchanged across our five dates. Guests describe it as quiet and private, with a pool and on-site parking. There is no front desk, and communication is by WhatsApp. Guests mention weak water pressure and hot water, no TV, and in 2024 one found the rooms tired. Most of its reviews in our system are from before 2024. If you want to be able to walk into town for the lowest price, book this.

Baja House

Rated 8.7/10 across 61 guest reviews, Baja House is a guesthouse in a historic building about 200 m from the plaza, with a pool and a rooftop hot tub guests use at sunset. Guests single out the host and the location. From $208 to $278 per night for two, room only. Guests describe small rooms, narrow stairs to the top floor, no TV or fridge, and noise from roosters, dogs and the street; one said earplugs were supplied. If you want the centre of town and do not mind the roosters, book this.

Hotel California

Hotel California is the best-known hotel name in Todos Santos, on Calle Benito Juárez between Morelos and Márquez de León in the centre of town. It opened in 1950 and has operated as an 11-suite boutique hotel with a bar since a renovation by new owners in the early 2000s. It has no connection to the Eagles song: the band sued the hotel over the name in 2017, and under the 2018 settlement it kept its name and says it is not associated with the band. It is not in our reservation system at all, so we have no guest scores or prices for it.

La Poza Boutique Hotel and Spa

La Poza is an adults-only hotel (15 and over) beside the lagoon about 1.4 km from the plaza, rated 9.4/10 across 122 reviews. Guests praise the setting, the pool and the staff, and describe reaching the beach by kayak across the lagoon and a rough dirt road in.

Baja Temple

Baja Temple is a small design hotel near Las Playitas, about 2.8 km from the plaza, rated 9.0/10 across 318 reviews. Guests describe a quiet desert setting close to the beach, and mention basic rooms and low water pressure.

Desierto Azul Boutique Hotel (9.7 across 114 reviews), Villas La Mar (9.4 across 118) and Cerritos Beach Inn (8.6 across 164) also had no rates on any of our dates. Two more hotels were bookable but placed just outside our ten: Cerritos Surf Town Beach Front Property, the sister property of the Hotel & Spa (8.4 across 236 reviews, from $209), and Hotel Casa Tota in the centre (8.5 across 459 reviews, from $129).

• Small hotels, limited availability: Most of these hotels are small, and several had no rates on some of our dates. Book early for the winter months.
• Winter is whale season: Guests at Hotel San Cristóbal and Villa Santa Cruz describe watching whales from the property. Our Todos Santos in January and February guides cover the season.
• Evenings get cold in winter: Guests at Hotel San Cristóbal and Casitas El Salitral mention cold nights and rooms without heating. Pack a layer.
• Hot water can be unreliable: Guests at Casitas El Salitral, Casa Bugambilias and Hotel Casa Tota describe lukewarm or slow hot water.
• Few TVs: Several of these hotels have no TV in the rooms, including Hotel San Cristóbal, Baja House and Casa Bugambilias.

The ten hotels priced between $87 and $2,023 per night for two adults on a three-night stay, across five check-in dates from mid-October 2026 to mid-February 2027. Each figure is the hotel's cheapest board, before the local taxes and fees the booking site adds at checkout.

Under $150 a night

Casitas El Salitral from $87 with breakfast, in El Pescadero, and Casa Bugambilias from $132 in town. They are the only two under $150.

$180 to $400 a night

Cerritos Surf Town Hotel & Spa from $180, Guaycura from $206, Baja House from $208, Hacienda Todos Los Santos from $279 and Todos Santos Boutique Hotel from $390, which rose to $717 or more from November.

Over $400 a night

Hotel San Cristóbal from $446, Paradero from $690 and Villa Santa Cruz from $1,333 with breakfast. All three swing widely by date: Hotel San Cristóbal cost $446 in October and $1,193 in January.

When to book

October was the cheapest of our five dates at seven of the ten, two of them tied with December. Cerritos Surf Town was the exception, at $403 in October against $180 to $183 in November and December. • Decide between town and beach first: In town you walk to dinner; on the beach at Punta Lobos or Las Playitas you drive to it. Cerritos is its own small surf town, 14 km south.
• Rent a car if you stay outside town: Guests at Hotel San Cristóbal and Paradero recommend one.
• Check the age policy: Todos Santos Boutique Hotel and Paradero are adults only, and La Poza is 15 and over.

Many lists of Todos Santos hotels mix hotels with vacation rentals and include places you cannot actually book. This one uses verified guest reviews and live prices, and says which hotels we could not book and why.

We started from the properties our reservation system lists within 20 km of Todos Santos, which takes in El Pescadero and Cerritos. On our other hotel guides we require at least 300 reviews and live rates on four of five dates. In Todos Santos that left almost nothing, because the hotels are small and much of their inventory is not in our reservation system, so for this guide we required a guest score of at least 8.0, at least 40 verified reviews and live rates on at least three of our five dates. We kept hotels, inns and lodges, and removed vacation rentals, hostels and duplicate listings. That left twelve, and we rank the top ten.

Two judgement calls: Paradero is listed twice in our system, and we used the listing with more reviews (9.0 across 71) rather than the other (8.2 across 54). Hotel San Cristóbal is also listed twice, at the same address: one listing has a guest score (9.5 across 150) but no rates, the other has rates but no overall score. We ranked it on the score and priced and booked it through the other listing. Cerritos Surf Town Beach Front Hotel & Spa and Casa Bugambilias tied at exactly 8.80, and we placed the one with more reviews first.

How the ranking is calculated

The order is set by a formula, with no editorial adjustments. It uses two inputs only, guest score and review count; location, board type and price shape what we say about each hotel, not where it ranks. Each hotel gets a weighted score:

Weighted score = (reviews × guest score + 300 × 8.8) ÷ (reviews + 300)

Every hotel starts as if it already had 300 reviews at a baseline score of 8.8, and its real reviews pull it away from that baseline. With few reviews, a hotel stays close to 8.8, which is why Todos Santos Boutique Hotel, with a perfect 10 across 42 reviews, ranks fifth. This is the same formula and baseline as our Los Cabos and La Paz hotel guides.
